They said I had thousands of pairs of shoes, which was not true.It was a lie in the end because when Malacanang gave it to the Marikina museum it was even less than 200 pairs,” she said.“When I was First Lady I was hardly using shoes, only on special occasions or foreign visits, I would wear shoes.I was a working First Lady, I had espadrilles,” she said. She’s known for her obsession with shoes but she said: “I don’t even wear shoes any more. In fact when I met Marcos I was in a pair slippers.” But if she would have it her way now, she would gladly have a larger collection.“At this point in time of my life, I think I deserve more pairs of shoes than what was lied to the world,” said Marcos during an interview in 2011.“I feel that I deserve more because I’m ‘well-heeled’ now to good, be true and beautiful.

Even during bad times they don’t seem to want to let go of their passion.Who say’s Cinderella fever hasn’t left women’s hearts? Let’s get on the road to high-heeled heaven. The perfect pair of heels would never give you a reason to cry they would bring you lots of pride. The perfect pair of shoes is every girls dream come true. The only twist in this tale is that us women would never leave our shoes behind even if we were in a hurry. The reign of shoes has proven to be unshakable leaving us women desiring the perfect pair of shoes instead of the perfect prince.Kitten heels, stilettos, spool heels, wedges, platform heels, pumps, cone heels, prism heels, the list is simply endless! A non shoe lover would wonder, what’s so wonderful about wearing high heels? Well, they help improve your posture, tone your legs, increase your height, give you confidence, make you feel glamourous and sexy. Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo are the biggest shoe designer names who give women many reasons to love shoes. Owning designer shoes has become a trend and women all over the world love to flaunt the brands they wear on their feet.Well as a person who wears heels of all sizes and shapes instead of talking about my shoe collection with you, I thought I would share with you some tips on how to wear high heels without experiencing any lows. According to a recent survey released by the college of Podiatry two thousand women and men reported foot pain in their feet within an hour of wearing shoes. It’s time to wear your shoes instead of letting them wear you down.

Number 1: Listen : If your doctor advises you not to wear any form of heels follow doctor’s advice. You will never enjoy the highs in life if you harm your back, knees and health.

Number 2: Take precautions! If you have a bad back then wear a flat wedge heel or kitten heels and carry flat ballerina shoes or sandals in your handbag and change your shoes if you experience any pain. Use slingback stickers and gel cushions to prevent blisters and discomfort.

Number 3: Don’t buy shoes online. Shoes have to fit. Never rely on what you see online. The whole experience of shoe shopping is all about finding the perfect fit. Live that Cinderella moment for real.

Number 4: Ice it! After wearing high heels your feet get swollen so as you reach home soak your feet in a cold bath for 15 minutes and apply foot cream to prevent foot cracks and cuts.

Number 5: Think! Invest your money wisely by purchasing the right shoe for you instead of what’s trending at the moment.Marilyn Monroe once said, “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world”. Looks like Imelda Marcos has taken Marilyn’s advice to heart.Conquer those shoes and own all the moments you experience in your high heels, may lows never meet you in your journey. Walk on, dance on and stomp hard!
